Baseball Scouts Love Polished Players

Baseball scouts notice your skills long before the draft and your skills should stand out from the crowd.

However; my observation of the professional baseball draft is that not all of the best players get drafted.

Some players are drafted because either their father played major league baseball or the are friendships to someone.

As a baseball player you must make baseball scouts notice your talent the first time they see you play, because most scouts often show up at games to watch the players that every scout is already talking about and in most cases they came to watch a pitcher or two.

Many times when scouts come to scout a player on your team they have blinders on when it comes to evaluating other talent around them on the team.

Why dose this happy? Because, often times scouts may stay for a few innings only to watch a pitcher before moving on to watch someone else at another game and may never get a chance to see you play.

Showcase Your Talent

Once you get a chance to showcase your talent please do so while the scouts are there. Because if you don't no one else will do it for you.

I'm going to say this about "professional baseball scouts" even if they want admit to it they do miss a lot of very good talent out there that's why you have to make yourself stand out from the other players.

So, that when scouts do see you play they can't help but say "WOW" who is that kid. If you don't make scouts stand up and take notice of you no one else will not even your own coaches.

Getting the proper training from a "personal baseball trainer" is the key to becoming a polished baseball player, getting drafted and a opportunity to play at the next level of baseball.

The one thing that I don’t agree with when it comes to the June amateur baseball draft is the notion that only the best players are drafted. That’s not true, because if only the best players get drafted then why is it that so many high draft picks turn out to be a big "buss" and never make it up to triple-A baseball.

I know of several very good baseball players who should have gotten drafted, but for some reason they did not nor did they sign a free agent contact. Some professional scouts have no clue and can't pick a good diamond if their life depended on it and that's why so many major league baseball farm systems don't have the talent in them to call up players to the big leagues.

By-the-way some of these scouts have never played baseball at the college or professional level.

Parents, Coaches and Baseball Scouts

The one thing that I've observed over the years about parents, college and professional baseball scouts they all see things differently when it comes to evaluating the talent of an athlete.

It's that old saying "Beauty Is In The Eyes of The Beholder".

A scout may see you play and report back to his supervisor and general manager that you're a 4-tool player, while another scout may see you as a below average player with only 2-tools and your parents and coach may see you as having all the necessary tools to play baseball at the next highest level.

So, who is right! All I'm going to say here is that their have been players drafted in the first round of the draft and never made it up to the major league baseball level.

As a player trying to make it to the show in "major league baseball" you will never know exactly how a scout may evaluate you or what they will say about you or what they are looking for in a player that’s why it's very import to work hard on all 5-baseball-tools to give yourself the best possible chance to play at the next levels of baseball. Baseball Scouts love to see polished players.
